I enjoy sewing and mending, and I'm open to either doing repairs on clothes or teaching you if you want to learn how to do it yourself. I hand-sew rather than machine-sew my mending.
Here are some of the types of clothing repairs/alterations I know how to do:
- hemming pants/skirts
- shortening sleeves
- patching holes or worn spots
- sewing on buttons
- converting pants into shorts
Some types of repairs that I do NOT know how to do:
- darning socks
- reknitting holes in knit garments
- resizing the more complex parts of a garment, like the shoulders of a suit jacket or the crotch of a pair of jeans
